A big shout out to this guy for knowing how and when it’s important for me to show up.
This morning while he was at Grandson Kyrie’s football game I messaged him to say that I was driving to Canberra for a Domestic Violence march and his response was to wait for him and we’d go together.
In total we drove almost six hours for a two hour event that was important to me; I say it was important for me but when I see him chanting, clapping and nodding his head in agreement with the speakers then I can see it’s important to him too.
We take turns driving; I drove there and we chatted the whole way about life which gave us a good opportunity to play catch up on our busy lives.
On the way home he drives because my confidence with driving at night is lessening so he takes the wheel and I play DJ and we both sing at the top of our lungs.
I can’t hold a tune and I’m quite tone deaf but that doesn’t stop us; he’s the opposite to me and most wouldn’t know that he can actually sing and does so nicely but if anyone else were in the car with us they wouldn’t hear him over my ‘singing’ 😉.
We’ve sung along to K-Ci & JoJo, Babyface, Usher, Dolly & Kenny, Mr Big and Neil Diamond.
And, we’ve still got an hour before we’re home 👀☺️🤦🏻♀️🥹🫳🎤🫠
It’s been fun and I am grateful.
